Pink City has a new, chic and colorful rooftop Adda – ‘Jaipur Adda’. While the filament lighting and wall art makes for an upscale décor, the USP of Jaipur Adda is clearly its fusion cuisine and creatively crafted beverages both presented in an innovative and out-of-the-box manner.
To bring both Italy and India in one go on your plate, the restro bar has come up with experimental dishes like Naan Pizza, Bhuna Gosht Lasagne, Punjabi penne makhni, Spaghetti Chettinad and Vegetable Khichra Risotto, among others. The dishes are quite unique and creative to tantalize one’s taste buds.
To wash down the mains, indulge in some cool beverages like Spicy Watermelon Aqua Fresca, Masala Cola and Kachumber Cooler, among others. As a tribute to the childhood favourites Baraf ka Gola and Gudiya ke Baal, Chuski Drum (available in the good old Kala Khatta and Narangi flavours infused with gin or vodka) and Candy Ball drink are also on the menu. The Candy Ball essentially consists of White rum, apple and orange juice and is served with paprika sprinkled candy floss on top. We suggest you stir the candy floss in the drink so that it blends as eating it otherwise can be quite dry.
FOR THE TEETOTALERS
If you are a teetotaler, the desi kadak chai served with a cookie in a small parcel clipped to the glass and South Indian filter kapi are the best options available. And if you are a group of friends going to have some gup shup over chai, we suggest you munch on the Adda Pitara which has varieties of papad, lasooi naan fingers, parmesan crisps, Karari Roti strips accompanied with six types of dips.
If you are a dessert lover – a great news awaits you. Now you don’t have to satiate your sweet tooth cravings with one dessert. Just order a dessert sampler and you will get to try small portions of Parle G Cheese Cake (an outstanding dessert made with Parle G biscuits, rabdi and gems), Fresh fruit crumble glass topped with ice cream and Baked Yoghurt topped with Gulab Jamun.
In sum, the ambience, presentation and concept is something that is totally novel in Jaipur. The dishes and beverages are quite moderately priced. Psychedelic Hindi remixes, Arabic Latin and Afro Beats add to the party glamour of the evenings while the classic Hindi music tracks keep the aura apt for casual conversation at daytime. However, if you want to chill on the rooftop it is advisable to go in the evening as during the day it can be quite noisy due to the honking of buses and cars on the road.
Also don’t forget to capture the stunning view of the Jaipur metro passing by!
