Jaipur based entrepreneur and founder of Rajasthan Angels Innovator’ Network, Mr. Mahavir Sharma has been unanimously chosen as the Chairman of TiE Global for the year, 2020. It is worth noting that he is the first-ever Indian to be selected for this position. For the last 27 years, TiE Global has never been led by a Charter member from India. This shift over the years not only shows how hard Indian chapters and members have been contributing to the global organization but also the fact that the focus of start-ups and entrepreneurship has been shifting east.
During his tenure, Mr. Sharma would motivate aspiring entrepreneurs by creating diversified programs that can strengthen existing TiE initiatives. He further plans to empower the women entrepreneurship through ‘TiE Women’ program by backing them with suitable investments. Similarly, ‘TYE and TiE University’ program will support students by introducing and engaging them in start-up competitions across chapters. ‘TiE Angels, TiE Global Angels’ and ‘TiE India Alliance’ will provide access to early-stage capitals across the globe. Furthermore, TiE will also host its prestigious ‘Global Summit’ in Dubai and Hyderabad serving as a gateway to various countries. Their global expansion is aimed at paving way for undiscovered countries. With their remarkable experience and credibility, TiE hopes to ensure a positive partnership with the government for smoother expansion.
