If at JLF, take lessons from Swati – the usual Indian mother who has honed the art of tackling pre-exam fear

Reading Time: 2 minutes

They say, “Sons are the anchors of a mother’s life” and this quote quite probably fits in all mother-son relationships. There is a very peculiar relationship which every mom shares with her son. Not afraid to share this peculiarity, Swati Lahoti came to the fore to share her story with the world in her debut book ‘The Wind Beneath his Wings’… And the world did read it out, gave it an applaud and got inspired for all the right reasons.

Like every other mom, Swati too was worried about the future of her son, who was an IIT-JEE aspirant. While her son was preparing for JEE, Swati was having her share of sleepless nights and parenting panics. Her son’s and her struggle looked worth it when the results came out and her son made it to one of the prestigious IIT institutes. As she couldn’t contain the happiness within her, she decided to share it with fellow parents and children who were caught by the same level of exam pressure.

Swati is now a renowned parenting author and is gradually becoming a household name in India. If you are a parent or a student struggling with exam phobia, you have just lucky with Swati attending the “Jaipur Literature Festival” on January 26, giving you a clear chance to being the wind beneath your child’s wings! Her session is scheduled from 4:45 pm to 5:15 pm at ‘Baithak’ at Diggi Palace, where she will be seen in conversation with Namita S. Kalla.

To put it in perspective here is quoting something worth reading from Swati’s book: “A mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world, it dares all things and crushes down remorselessly that stands in the path to a child’s success!”

Leaving you with this line of thought and wishing you happy parenting!
