1. Butter Garlic Noodles
Method: Add 1 tbsp of Olive Oil to a hot skillet fry 3 cloves of chopped or crushed garlic for 10 secs. Add half a stick of butter, salt and pepper to taste. Add boiled pasta (you can use any pasta you prefer, our favourite is spaghetti). Toss the noodles with the butter sauce and serve hot with a sprinkle of dried Italian herbs (optional) and grate some processed cheese on top.
Note: you can double or triple the amount of garlic as per your taste.
2. Overnight Oats Recipe (Recipe from shebakeshere.com)
Method: In a small bowl mix 100g of yogurt and 3 tbsps of milk with plain oats. You can add chia seeds to make the recipe healthier. Cover the bowl and store in your fridge overnight. Remove from the fridge in the morning, add cut fruits of your choice (strawberries, grapes, berries etc.) and serve.
3. Microwave Chocolate Mug Cake
Method: Mix ¼ cup flour, ¼ cup sugar, 2tbsp cocoa powder, 1/8 tsp baking soda, and 1/8 tsp salt in a large microwave-safe mug; stir in 3 tbsp milk, 2 tbsp canola oil, 1 tsp water, and ¼ tsp vanilla extract. Cook in microwave until cake is done in the middle, about 1 minute 45 seconds. Grab a spoon and DIG IN!
4. Mixed Brown Rice Bowl
Method: Boil ½ cup of Brown Rice and set aside. On high heat add 2 cloves of crushed garlic to a frying pan until it turns golden in colour. Now add a handful of your choice of vegetables like carrots, mushrooms, capsicum, onions, French beans, etc. Add salt and black pepper as per your taste and stir fry on high heat for 5 minutes. Mix in the boiled rice with the veggies and add 1tbsp of dark soya sauce and 1tsp of vinegar. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
For a non-veg option you can add chicken or prawns or scrambled eggs to the rice.
