The largest congregation of musicians will be descending in Jaipur at the 3rd edition Raymond MTV India Music Summit. It is scheduled to be held at The Fairmont Jaipur from 4 to 6 October. During the 3 days of Summit over 120 artistes from all genres including Sufi, Ghazal, Classical, Bollywood, Fusion will partake in Concerts, Conversations, Masterclasses, Jam sessions and much more. Organized by the ‘Musiconcepts Private Limited’ , the event is expected to attract over 5000 music lovers from Jaipur and Pan India. The mission of the Summit is to preserve, celebrate and promote India’s musical heritage.
The renowned Indian lyricist, screenwriter and poet, Prasoon Joshi is the mentor of the Summit. Among the keynote attractions, will be a conversation between Asha Bhosle and Prasoon Joshi on the playback maestro’s music, life, journey and inspiration. Similarly, the talented Sunidhi Chauhan in a keynote conversation will be talking about her musical journey with a special ode to her inspiration, Lata Mangeshkar .
Apart from Asha Bhosle other participating artistes include –Shiv Kumar Sharma, Venkatesh Kumar, Shujaat Khan, Uday Bhawalkar, Vikku Vinayakram, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rajan-Sajan Mishra, Rashid Khan, Aruna Sairam, Rahul Sharma, Aslam Sabri, Ustaad Jawaad and Mazhar Khan, Taufiq Qureshi, Radhika Chopra, Sunanda Sharma, Prabh Deep, Shashank Subramaniam, Ajay Prasanna, Purbayan Chatterjee, among others.
One of the highlights of the event will be multiple performances by Masters of Harmony, Shillong Chamber Choir. Championing the cause of language and deep cultural roots, the Choir will present glimpses of a unique Opera in Khasi language.
