When Vasundhara Raje asked for an auto ride

A resident of Nai ki Thadi, auto-rickshaw driver Mahmood Kuraishi was in for a pleasant surprise when Chief Minister, Ms Vasundhra Raje asked for a ride to SMS Convention Centre at Rambagh circle from her residence in Civil Lines.

In a bid to promote Rajasthani art and culture on a global scale, Chief Minister has taken a unique initiative by colourfully displaying folk tales of the state on these vehicles.

It is to be noted that during the Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership to be held this month these auto rickshaws will be moving across the Pink City promoting the state’s folk art.

As many as 100 auto rickshaws are aesthetically displaying the various forms of such art. Jaipur Municipal Corporation will be putting up an auto art exhibition on five different locations like Sanganer Airport, Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, Jal Mahal and Albert Hall. In this exhibition, 300 paintings related to auto mobile along with 20 vintage cars will be showcased.
